ARIPO (African Regional Industrial Property Organization) has granted intellectual protecting rights to Tharos’ “Solvent-free process for obtaining phospholipids and neutral enriched krill oils” patented process.
ARIPO’s decision makes Tharos to complete a total of 13 national patents granted as of August 2015 expanding Tharos protection of this unique process that extracts krill oils using a clean approach, 100% solvent and chemical free.
This is ARIPO’s Patent No. AP3082, the second of the Tharos’ patent portfolio to be granted innovative and novelty rights in the African continent.
We strongly recommend our customers and clients to be informed about how their krill oils were manufactured, and the residual solvents declared by the manufacturer, as all current processes use some type of solvent at any stage of their process.
