What if a price war outbreaks among krill oil manufacturers?
Several will succumb linked to high production costs and/or limited value proposals offered to a market that is eagerly looking for new presentations, clean and environmental-friendly products.
May 2015 Tharos’ 2014 krill oil price watch has seen the median price (OTC+WEB Channels, bottled + encapsulated) at around USD700 per equivalent krill oil kilo, lower compared early 2010s prices.
Although some brands reach prices above USD2.000 per kilo, we do not consider these prices to reflect a significant difference in quality, neither showing any special processing methodology, rather a well planned marketing work.
