Frozen Fish
Led the creation of the first Chilean-Cuban processing and marketing association (Tres Lirios S.A. 1998-1999) dealing with commercial-scale frozen fish processing and export for the Cuban market, work which help the establishment of a “frozen-mackerel export-industry” in Chile. Consequently, Chile has part-switch its regular low-cost feed-grade oriented products towards a most demanding high-valued food-oriented products such as whole and HG frozen fish.
Work with high-demanding tourism-related corporations on seafood supply.
The African market (Nigeria) has become a natural market continuation of the work performed in Cuba, the latter remaining a key demanding market while the former has surpassed the Cuban leadership on frozen mackerel shipment.
Several commercial-related projects on this topic have been performed in association with local R&D institutions as well as with respected fishing corporations on “Commercial Strategies for High Value Pelagic Products” (targeting the Russian market)
