China pumped around USD7,5 bn into seafood research

LogoAs recently published by Seafoodsource.com, in the period 2011 – 2015, China spent CNY 50 billion (USD 7.5 billion, EUR 6.8 billion) on research projects in the fisheries sector in the five-year period from 2011 to 2015.

This value includes a new “fisheries resource survey ship” and “special projects” that include the development of high-tech ships for long-distance fishing, where South Antarctic krill is included.
