Tharos has achieved a highly significant breakthrough in the competitive Chinese business environment.
The “State Intellectual Property Office of the People’s Republic of China” has sent Tharos its “Notification of Allowing Invention Patent” for Tharos’ patent “Solvent-free process for obtaining phospholipids and neutral enriched krill oils“.
This is the Patent No. 200980162222.0 Issuance No. 2015070900122390 dated July 17th 2015. Upon the examination, the Chinese IP Office found that there is no reject reason, according to Article 39 of China Patent Law and Article 54 of Implementation of China Patent Law, for the above patent application to be granted patent right.
This is the first of the Tharos patent portfolio to be granted innovative and novelty rights in China.
It comes at a time where all krill operators are fiercely working to increase the value out of every captured ton of raw fresh krill, within a market that looks for cleaner and cost competitive food ingredients.
