This is a 2000 South Korean PhD thesis addressing how South Antarctic krill manage its living in such harsh environment. The complexity was to find a reliable marker from where the resource can be evaluated. For example digestive enzymes, RNA and DNA. Starvation vs. well fed krill probed to be a suitable indicator on krill’s relationship with its environment, and the link between krill population and its environment.
